Sharon Jones is known for being a tireless worker and a devoted advocate for the students and staff at Shady Grove Elementary School. Sharon is patient and kind with students, and always seeking the best interest of the child. Sharon never sits still, and when she is not running the register or working in the kitchen, she interacts with students in the dining area. Ms. Jones shows great initiative in stepping in where she can be helpful (and she always is) and is very proactive. Sharon Jones is a star at Shady Grove.

Sharon has worked in Child Nutrition for ten years and has shown remarkable performance and work ethic. Sharon is dependable and efficient. She is the PIC at Shady Grove and does a great job keeping the cafeteria running smoothly. Sharon has an eagerness to learn and has done a great job following recipes, providing back up support, serving, running the computer, making deposits, and preparing production sheets. Sharon has a warm, cheerful attitude that she shares with the staff, students, and her coworkers at Shady Grove. You may hear Pre-K students ask for "ShayShay" so that they can tell her hello and share a hug.

Sharon loves her job and considers the staff and students at Shady Grove Elementary School her family. This Employee of the Year works hard, is always smiling and represents Child Nutrition well.

Carla Mast was named the 2017-2018 Child Nutrition Manager of the Year while she was at South Davie Middle School. Carla has since moved into a new position as the Child Nutrition Training Manager at Central Davie Education Center.

Simply, Carla is exceptional, confident, happy, eager, and organized. She always strives to do a great job wherever she is assigned. The cafeteria at South Davie was run efficiently by Carla with a pleasant atmosphere for students and staff. She offered to help in as many ways as possible, regardless of whether the need fell within her domain. Her flexibility allowed plans to change with ease. Carla Mast does a tremendous job with a positive attitude and smile.

Congratulations to our Child Nutrition Manager of the Year!
