New Principal and Assistant Principal Join Davie County Schools January 2

Please welcome Casey Morrison to the role of principal at William Ellis Middle School. Mrs. Morrison has been in education for 24 years. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from NC A&T State in Instrumental Music and Master's in School Administration from Appalachian State University. Her years of experience include roles as a band/music teacher, assistant principal, and principal, including experience in elementary, middle, and high school. Mrs. Morrison clearly has a heart for students, strong depth of knowledge, good communication skills, and a love for middle school. She has established a reputation for being passionate and dedicated, and she is thrilled to be returning "home" to this area. She will bring a high level of respect and support for teachers/staff, while also focusing on growing each and every student so that William Ellis continues to exceed expectations. Prior to coming to William Ellis, she served as principal at West Pender Middle School and Elkin Middle School.

Mrs. Morrison is a native of Surry County and a graduate of Elkin High School. She lives in Winston-Salem and has one son, one grandson and one granddaughter. Mrs. Morrison will assume her position as principal of William Ellis Middle School on January 2, 2021.

Please welcome Cheryl Reeves to the role of assistant principal at Davie County High School. Mrs. Reeves has been in education for 13 years. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from East Carolina in Elementary Education and two Master's Degrees from UNCG. She is also a North Carolina Principal Fellow. Her years of experience include roles as a teacher assistant/bus driver, teacher, and most recently as a math impact coach in Guilford County Schools. She brings a fresh outlook and perspective to Davie County High School through her past experiences in various roles.

Mrs. Reeves lives in High Point with her husband and children. She enjoys attending her children's extracurricular activities, especially marching band competitions and parades. Mrs. Reeves will assume her position as assistant principal of Davie County High School on January 2, 2021.
