IMPORTANT - YOU MUST TAKE ACTION DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT!  If you want to reduce your monthly premium and/or choose the 80 /20 Plan.  All members will be enrolled in the 70/30 Plan.

Changes are coming in 2018 for State Health Plan members. The first thing you will notice is what used to take about 50 “clicks” to complete online enrollment will now only take about 10! These changes reduce complexity for members, maintain quality health coverage and contribute to the Plan’s long-term financial stability. 

Among the other changes

  • Family premiums have been frozen for the 2018 benefit year
  • Copays and deductibles will not increase in 2018
  • You will only have to complete the tobacco attestation credit to reduce your monthly premium
  • The Consumer-Directed Health Plan (CDHP) is being eliminated (be sure to use your state-provided Health Reimbursement Account, or HRA, funds by December 31, 2017)

Health Insurance 
Davie County Schools offers health insurance to all employees eligible for benefits. This insurance is with the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina and is available to the employee with a small monthly co-pay. Health insurance is available for the employee’s family at the employee’s expense.


Dental
Davie County Schools offers dental insurance for all employees eligible for benefits. This insurance is with Sun Life Financial and is available to the employee and their family at the employee’s expense.


Vision
Davie County Schools offers vision insurance for all employees eligible for benefits. This insurance is with Superior Vision and is available to the employee and their family at the employee’s expense. 


Life Insurance
Davie County Schools provides $5,000 of life insurance for all employees eligible for benefits. This policy is with Aetna Insurance and additional coverage is available for employees and their family at the employee’s expense.


Retirement Savings Plans
Davie County Schools offers retirement savings options via 401(k), 403(b) or 457 plans. These plans are available to all eligible employees through Prudential or VALIC.
